Cathy Wills
Curator, Art Advisor & Strategy Advisor for the Creative Arts 

 
Cathy Wills is a contemporary art curator, art advisor and long-standing advocate and supporter of artists and visual arts organisations nationally and internationally. She received her BA Hons in History of Art from the University of Manchester, followed by an MA in Enterprise & Management in the Creative Arts at London College of Communication. Starting her career in the arts in the 1970s as an art critic and gallery manager, she was the founding Administrator with Henry Lydiate at Art Law and started the Lewis Johnson Gallery. Upon moving to Manchester she became a founding Trustee of its art centre, Cornerhouse, and a Member of the North West Arts board. Cathy is an active contemporary art collector and regularly visits international art fairs, museum shows and exhibitions, which stems from her passion for supporting contemporary art & artists. She is a Trustee of the Contemporary Art Society, and Founder of the Cecil Lewis Sculpture Scholarship for UAL and the Cathy Wills Sculpture Fund for the Contemporary Art Society. She also founded the Collections Committee for CAS.
